Enjoyable band practice making a tasteful arrangement of two lovely tunes – Opening Time and Snod’s Edge, both by the wonderful Robin Dunn. And equally lovely cakes – muffins by Mike.
Which led us to an interesting discussion of the food we get at ceilidhs – typically a seasonal rotation of ploughman’s, chilli and baked potato, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, curry, haggis, barbecue, hog roast and wedding cake … Time for a band recipe book maybe …
