We visited Suffolk to play for a Nordic Walking group’s get-together in a community centre outside Bury. They were certainly fit, and danced energetically till the end, though not a pole in sight!
Here’s Andrew playing the box for one of the listening tunes between dances.
Greg called one of his favourites, Margaret’s Waltz, and unusually decided to demonstrate the half ladies’ chain with Hazel. Here it is, immortalised on video:
And Mike, calmly observing the proceedings:
It was an unusually good acoustic, so we had a good time playing tunes between dances: Josephina, our new old timey set, Bill’s Dream … and David and Andrew had a good blast on the Northumbrian pipes in the interval: old favourites from the repertoire, along with newer tunes by Chris Ormston (Low Lights of Shields) and Anthony Robb (Ian Dickson).
